Oct 29, 2021 · Hello. I submitted my i130 on October 2 of this year (2021) and got a "your case is being actively reviewed" 1 week later. I am doing the i130 for my spouse and I am a US citizen. How long after actively reviewed does it take? And since it is being actively reviewed does that mean mine is going quicker? I130 timeline: Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS. I filed online I130 for my spouse on Jan 05 2021. I got the receipt in mail within few days. On March 18, the status changed to "We are actively reviewing your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, Receipt Number . Our records show nothing is outstanding at this time. After Biometric my I-485 and I-765 case status changed to: Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS. As of March 11, 2022, we are actively reviewing your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, Receipt Number IOE011111wwww. Our records show nothing is outstanding at this time. We will let you know if we need anything from you.Current Case status: "as of 10/9/2019, we are actively reviewing your form I-90". It has not changed for 17 months. At 11.5 months. E request replied, "your case is pending consideration", with no date forecasted. Now at 17 months, the only change on the web portal is this "Invalid Date".

“Being actively reviewed” is misleading at best. There isn’t an officer staring at your file 8 hours a day since December. It takes less than an hour to do an average I-130. That being said, you’re within normal processing times. For e.g. I filed I-130 for my parents, one of them is in active review and other isn't. USCIS agent on chat said they both are progressing fine and no flags or RFE.
